Partnerships for Innovation Program
Partnerships for Innovation Program (2015 – 2016 – 2017)
Colciencias’ Alianzas Regionales de Innovación initiative seeks to arm Colombian entrepreneurs with the skills and tools necessary to boost innovation in the creation and delivery of their products and services; this project aims to train entrepreneurs in methodologies for innovation as a path to business growth and effective entrepreneurship, so they can apply them in real-world contexts, under the exacting conditions of the markets on which they focus their lines of business. Miss Monroy has taken on the leading role of this large-scale project, and achieved great success in turning over a thousand SMEs and start-ups into strong competitors within their respective markets, in such regions as: Mocoa, San José del Guaviare, Florencia, Leticia, Ibagué, Espinal, Honda, Neiva, Armenia, Dosquebradas, La Dorada, Manizales, Pereira, Santa Rosa de Cabal, Chinchiná, Bucaramanga, Barrancabermeja, cúcuta, Duitama, Pamplona, Sogamoso, Tunja, Facatativá, and Bogotá; all of them cities and towns full of industrial and human potential that’s yet to be fully exploited.Project formulated and managed for www.centrodeinnovacion.com
Main Outomes of her efforts
During the process through which Miss Monroy takes our clients, entrepreneurs were able, by means of observation and assessment of needs, to identify the opportunities in their target markets, and the challenges that their projects would face. They then were able to turn their findings into opporunities for innovation, and put them into practice, with satisfactory outcomes; several of them received support from Colciencias and Confecámaras. Most of these projects led to innovative services and end-user experiences, opening and strengthening of fruitful lines of business, implementation of Information Technologies for the development of digital-based business models, and optmization of internal processes. Most entrepreneurs took all of this and applied it successfully in their organizations. Her accomplishments in this regard can be summarized as follows:- Over 1000 entrepreneurs satisfied with their accomplishments
- Over 1000 innovation projects generated (novel products, services, processes, or business models)
- Over 900 Elevator Pitches for regional SMEs
- Over 80 projects executed with support from Colciencias
- Over 1500 entrepreneurs and consultants trained to develop skills to identify opportunities, design, and efficiently execute innovation projects that have an impact on the delivery of products, services, and business models and processes.
